Back in early December I took a trip up to Scotland, first to visit my old school chum Jamie in Edinburgh, and then afterwards to visit another old school chum Patrick in Glasgow. Patrick met me with a large bag full of local beer, and being rather touched by this fine gesture of his, I made sure to review at least one of them for him!
Williams Bros. Brewing Co. Joker I.P.A.
Appearance: cloudy yellow, not too carbonated, 5%
Nose: juicy citrus, mango, digestive biscuit
Palate: a bit tingly, grapefruit
Finish: mango, citrus, lingering fruitiness
Rating: 3/5 Good
As for Glasgow itself, while not as visually stunning as Edinburgh to the tourist on foot, I did vastly prefer the art gallery/museum in Kelvingrove over the galleries that I visited in Edinburgh.
