My first night off the rock included a group tasting of the Wolf In The Woods with Scott, Stephen, and Kaegan (accompanied by some lovely Johnny de Courcy tunes) before further drinking on the beach.
Unfortunately we took no photographs together, but a good time was had nonetheless.
This cider was a limited release that had piqued my curiosity, so Scott sought out one of the last available bottles whilst I was still at the lighthouse and brought it for us to share. While advertised as a cider infused with hops and grand fir needles for flavour, in reality it seemed to lack enough of a wolfish bite to really stand out from other ciders.
Appearance: pale white gold, 9.9%, why not 10!?
Nose: sweet apples and pine resin
Palate: candy apple cider
Finish: apple cider, faint bitterness, superficially interesting
Overall: false marketing on this one
Rating: 3/5 Good
