It’s time for another boxed wine review… and a few choice photos from the the Race Rocks lighthouse!
My aim this time in choosing a boxed wine was that it had to be better than the Mission Ridge Premium Red Wine, and it had to have more volume than the Black Cellar Malbec Merlot. Essentially a 2/5 Okay (or better) wine in a 4 litre box. To my mild excitement, I succeeded!
Peller Estates Cabernet Merlot
Appearance: dark red
Nose: faint red fruits, develops a mild vinegar tang after 3 weeks…
Palate: gentle strawberries and cranberries
Finish: dry, like a strawberry ice cream wafer cookie
Overall: the best box wine out at Race Rocks so far!
Rating: 2/5 Okay
I hope you enjoy these photos.
