I drank this beer recently with Ian. It’s nice to find a local IPA that doesn’t fit into the stereotypical category of West Coast Hop Attack. I definitely recommend this beer if you don’t like IPA’s yet, or if you want to try a different kind of IPA.
Saltspring Snug British-style IPA
Named after the small, private “snug” room often found in British pubs, this beer is brewed in honour of the Snug Pub at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
Appearance: nice creamy, tan coloured head.
Nose: tangy hops, Worcester sauce, peaches.
Palate: nice balance of light hops and caramel malt.
Finish: grapefruit and lemongrass.
Rating: 4/5 Excellent
Beautiful moosehead cup!
