The Newcastle Bombshell is a real British beauty, to quote the label. I tend to agree.
This limited edition blonde ale appeared in Washington State during the summer of 2013, and being a massive fan of their brown ale, I purchased a six-pack to try. I promptly enjoyed five of them, and then traded the sixth to my Mum for something she had purchased. Two years later it was still in our cellar, half forgotten, and with my Mum unaware that it belonged to her. Being the good son that I am, I offered it to her, but first I took a sip and jotted down some tasting notes, in case I never see this Geordie blonde again…
